Could Oregon football quarterback Dillon Gabriel join Marcus Mariota in Duck Lore?

As of Wednesday, the Oklahoma transfer is well positioned to join Mariota as the only Oregon players to win a Heisman Trophy in program history. Gabriel has helped the Ducks (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) to a No. 1 ranking in the program’s first season in the new conference.

Gabriel led the Ducks to an impressive home game against usual Big Ten power Ohio State on Oct. 12, and Oregon has kept rolling ever since. The Ducks will take on Michigan on Saturday at 12:30 PM PT from Ann Arbor, Michigan, with another chance for Gabriel to pad his stats and build his case.
