Chappell Roan joins comedians John Mulaney and Ego Nwodim in the Saturday Night Live promo, which focuses on the pop star’s hit “Hot to Go.”

They entered the legendary stage and with Roan at their side they had to make some jokes about the artist’s catalogue. Roan will perform during the show on Saturday.

“Hi, I’m John Mulaney, and I’m hosting ‘SNL’ this week with musical guest Chappell Roan,” Mulaney said.

“And we will not tell our secret to anyone,” said Ego Nwodim.

“We’re going to make sketches,” Mulaney said.

“And I’ll make songs,” Roan said next.

“But we will not tell our secret to anyone,” Nwodim added.

“Because we made a promise to each other never to tell anyone,” they all said together.

In their second recording, the group made a joke but a running meme related to one of Roan’s songs.

“Hi, I’m John Mulaney and I’m hosting ‘SNL’ this week with Chappell Roan,” Mulaney said.

“Oh, my God, we can do it,” Nwodim said excitedly.

“What thing?” Mulaney Questions.

“You know, ‘I hope she does ‘Hot to Go,’” Nwodim explained of Roan’s 2023 track.

“Ask her,” Mulaney replied, showing his confusion.

“No, it’s not,” Nwodim replied.

“She’s here,” Mulaney insisted.

To stop the two from continuing any more banter, Roan said, “He doesn’t understand, girl. Let’s go.”

Mulaney, an “SNL” alum, will host the sketch comedy series on Saturday.
