City of Tulsa responds to storm damage and urges caution on roads

City of Tulsa officials are assessing damage after a severe storm moved through the city early Sunday morning, causing power outages and scattered debris.

Reports indicate that high winds have blown loose objects across the city, creating dangerous road conditions. The City of Tulsa is advising residents to stay off the roads if possible. Anyone who must travel is urged to avoid downed power lines and loose debris as they can pose serious risks.

Officials are also warning of possible flooding if the rain continues into Monday. Residents are encouraged to find alternate routes if they encounter standing water on the road, following the ‘Turn around, don’t drown’ guideline.
