The Cincinnati Bengals have not yet announced the inactive list for Sunday’s home game against the Raiders, but they have already announced that running back Zack Moss will not suit up for the team’s Week 9 matchup.

Additionally, according to James Rapien, Moss’ neck injury is serious enough that he could miss significant time, and fans shouldn’t be surprised if he goes on IR soon.

Moss was signed as a free agent by the Bengals this offseason to join Chase Brown in the backfield in hopes of replacing Joe Mixon, who was traded to the Texans. So far this season he has gained 242 yards on the ground and scored two touchdowns.

Brown has earned more playing time of late, but Moss’ ability to get past defenses will be missed. The Bengals still have Trayveon Williams and they signed Kendall Milton from the practice squad to make up for Moss’ absence.
