Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins first half open thread

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins end their season series today, just halfway through the 2024 NFL season. And even though it’s only week nine, both clubs are moving in completely different directions.

Buffalo is 6-2 with a 2-0 AFC East record. Their closest competitors for a division crown are the New York Jets, who are 3-6 with a 1-2 AFC East record, including a 23-20 loss to the Bills. Buffalo also defeated Miami in their first game, winning 31-10 during the second week of the season in September.

For the Dolphins, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returns for his second game since suffering another major concussion earlier this season. It happened in the fourth quarter of the loss to the Bills. He was efficient against the Arizona Cardinals last week (28/38, 234 yards, one touchdown), but Miami lost the game 28-27.

For the Bills, quarterback Josh Allen looks to continue his career dominance against Miami. In 13 regular season games against the Dolphins, Allen is averaging 22 completions, 34 passing attempts, three passing touchdowns, .5 interceptions, 269 passing yards, seven rushing attempts, 49 rushing yards and .4 rushing touchdowns per game. Allen and the Bills are 11-2 in those games.
