The Packers receive the kick and Keisean Nixon returns it 29 yards, but an unnecessary roughness call puts the Packers back to the 34. An opening 13-yard pass by Josh Jacobs immediately gives the Packers good field position at the 47 and a two-yard lead . Jacobs’ completion on 3rd and 3 sets up a 4th and 1 at the Detroit 44. With Jordan Love in the shotgun, Tucker Kraft moves and takes a direct snap and gets the first down. After a false start by Jacobs, Love finds an open Romeo Doubs, but he drops the pass. On the next play, Love throws the ball down the sideline to Christian Watson and he takes the ball at the highest point for a 19-yard gain. Two plays later, the offensive line opens a huge hole for Jacobs on one cut and he picks up 11 yards. Two plays later, on 3rd and 7, Love has Chris Brooks open for a likely touchdown, but he throws the ball behind him and Brooks can’t make the catch, Brandon McManus kicks a 30-yard field goal to make it three points off a solid first. driving force.

Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown made quite the fashion statement as he arrived at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, ahead of Sunday’s big NFC North game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions’ top receiver rolled off the team bus wearing a black sweatshirt that read “GREENBAY SUCKS” and gray sweatpants.

MORE

With first place in the NFC North on the line, Jordan Love is active for Sunday’s showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

Love left last week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars early in the third quarter due to a groin injury. He was listed as questionable on the injury report on Friday after practice on Thursday and Friday. When the Packers opted not to put practice squad quarterback Sean Clifford on the active roster for game day Saturday, it cleared the way for Love to start.

On a sodden Lambeau field, love will have a different center. Josh Myers is inactive due to a left wrist injury after being listed as questionable. It remains to be seen how the Packers will reconfigure their offensive line, but the Packers will have every other offensive lineman available.

Packers injury report

Quarterback Jordan Love is listed as questionable to play for the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Lions.

Cornerback Jaire Alexander, running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) and cornerback Corey Ballentine (ankle) are also listed as doubtful to play. Alexander suffered a knee injury at the end of the Jaguars game. He missed practice all week.

Center Josh Myers (wrist) is listed as questionable to play and safety Evan Williams (hamstring) has been ruled out.

Love suffered a groin injury during the Packers’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend. He played through the injury in the first half, but ultimately left in the third quarter and did not return.

Love missed practice on Wednesday but went two days in a row, as well as with full pads on a rainy day on Thursday, giving optimism he could give it a shot on Sunday.
