Veterans Day Ceremony 2024 | City of Irvine

IRVINE, California (October 30, 2024): The City of Irvine invites the community to honor veterans and their families during a special Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, in the formal garden of the Barber Marine Corps Colonel Bill Memorial Park .

“Each year on Veterans Day, we gather as a community to honor and remember the generations of American men and women who have selflessly dedicated their lives to seeing the ideas of equality, democracy, justice and freedom – the ideas that form the fabric of America – defended and supported, securing a shining beacon of hope for the entire world,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “I am honored to join the community in reflection as we set aside this space to recognize the sacrifice of these brave service men and women.”

The ceremony is carefully designed to express a spirit of gratitude to the men and women who have served with unwavering dedication in the United States Armed Forces, both past and present. Special recognition will be given to local veterans, veterans groups and military organizations.

This event is free, open to the public and an opportunity to recognize the bravery, courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served. In the event of inclement weather, the Veterans Day ceremony will be moved to Irvine City Hall, located next to the park.

Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park is located at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine.
