The match between Chiefs and Bucs MNF in Kansas City could have stormy consequences

KANSAS CITY – The Chiefs will have more to worry about than their undefeated record when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, as storms could cause major problems in Kansas City.

The central US is already on alert as severe weather will threaten areas from Texas to Missouri on Monday, with some areas experiencing severe weather for a third day in a row.

Kickoff at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is scheduled for 7:15 PM CT, and persistent storms throughout Monday are already drenching the field.

South of Kansas City, Flood Watches were issued as storms drenched Missouri.

While the Chiefs are the favorites to win tonight’s game, rushes could force Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield to rely heavily on the run game, even though both teams will be without big offensive weapons.

Without Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Mayfield will already be using Rachaad White – rain or not.

With Chiefs returning Isiah Pacheco to injured reserve, Kareem Hunt should see plenty of fantasy points along with Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Rain chances remain in the forecast until the end of the match.
