Joe Rogan supports Trump on the eve of the elections

CNN

Popular podcast host Joe Rogan officially endorsed Donald Trump on the eve of the election, a move that Trump’s team quickly touted as a major victory in the final hours of their campaign.

Rogan released his latest podcast on Monday with a two-and-a-half-hour interview with billionaire X owner and top Trump surrogate Elon Musk. Rogan then posted on X: “The big and powerful one @elonmusk. If it weren’t for him, we’d be crazy. He makes, in my opinion, the most compelling case for Trump you will ever hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.”

“For the record: yes, that is an expression of support for Trump. Enjoy the podcast,” he added.

The endorsement comes just weeks after Rogan interviewed Trump about “The Joe Rogan Experience,” an interview months in the making for the Trump campaign that was widely seen by the former president’s advisers as the culmination of their media strategy to aimed at young men. low propensity voters by having Trump appear on podcasts that target the demographic.

Trump, who was on stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for his penultimate rally when Rogan voiced his support, was quick to praise the development.

“It just came over the phone that Joe Rogan has just supported me, which is great. Thank you, Joe. That’s so nice. And he doesn’t, he doesn’t do things like that,” Trump said.

Trump said: “And he tends to be a little more liberal than some people in this room.”

Last week, Rogan posted on X that he had turned down an offer from Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign to do an interview.

“For the record, the Harris campaign did not move forward with the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly believe the best way to do this is in the studio in Austin,” said Rogan. “My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a person. I really hope we succeed.”

The Harris campaign declined to comment on Rogan’s post.
