Bernalillo County voters will vote on six GO Bond questions

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Voters in Bernalillo County will have the opportunity to answer six General Obligation (GO) Bond questions on their ballot. These GO Bonds provide financing to local projects.

The story continues below

The GO Bond Budget is approximately $40.5 million every two years. “We will not go above $40.5 million because we know this level of financing will allow us to repay the bonds without raising taxes. The successful way we manage our bonds allows us to redeem at some of the lowest interest rates you will find in the market,” said Kathy Korte, Head of Government Affairs.

This year, the six GO Bond questions cover libraries, public safety, parks & recreation, transportation, stormwater drainage & utilities, and housing. For more information about GO bonds, click here.
