JACKSON TWP., New Jersey (WPVI) — More than a dozen buildings are being evacuated as a wildfire rages in Ocean County, New Jersey.

The State Forest Fire Department said Wednesday afternoon that the evacuation of 15 buildings on South Stump Tavern Road is underway.

A total of 25 buildings were threatened, officials said.

South Stump Tavern Road is currently closed.

It was not immediately possible to say anything about the size of this fire.

The Forest Fire Department says it responded with fire trucks, bulldozers and ground crews. It also has a helicopter overhead for observation.
