LeBron has been a top player in the NBA for a decade, delivering several game-winning performances for his teams. And he proved his mettle again tonight, as he etched his name in NBA history with a 39-point night.

In a performance of unfathomable consistency, with today’s game against the Grizzlies, LeBron not only became the oldest NBA star to record more than 35 points and five-plus three-pointers in a game.

The interesting point about this record is that LeBron also holds the record for being the youngest player ever to post the same statistic in an NBA game, at the age of 18.

The 39-year-old took today’s game against the Grizzlies by storm, scoring 39 points at the FedEx Forum. LeBron added seven rebounds and six assists to his total, but it still wasn’t enough for the LA Lakers to seal a victory. Combined efforts from Jaren Jackson Junior, Jaylen Wells and Ja Morant gave the Memphis Grizzlies a 131-114 victory.

The match between the LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies witnessed a heated moment between LeBron James and Ja Morant.

In a heated possession, Morant scored and Gabe taunted Vincent with the undersized celebration that just didn’t sit well with LeBron. The multiple-time NBA MVP when he returned the favor to Morant on the next possession and hit the undersized celebration on his opponent’s face.

Ja Morant ultimately had the last laugh as the LA Lakers ended up with a loss. The LA Lakers next host the Philadelphia 76ers on November 9. The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Washington Wizards on the same day.
