Live election results: Prop 139 on abortion and Prop 314 on immigration passes

The Associated Press has called eight of the thirteen ballot initiatives. Proposition 139 on abortion and Proposition 314 on immigration and border enforcement passed. While Prop. 138 about tipped workers and Prop. 140 about open primaries did not.

See below for AP’s live results on the 13 statewide ballot initiatives as they are updated throughout the day. The AP does not make forecasts and will only declare a winner if it has been established that there is no scenario in which the underlying initiative could close the gap.

Local questions within Pima County

Sahuarita: Prop. 403, Prop. 404, Prop. 405, Prop. 406, Prop. 407

As of 3:12 a.m., results posted by Pima County showed voters in the town of Sahuarita Prop. 403, a bond election that would authorize the city to issue and sell up to $66 million in general obligation bonds to provide funding for parks and recreation. , police and public safety, and infrastructure projects.

The other questions – Prop. 404, Prop. 405, Prop. 406 and Prop. 407, questions about utility franchise agreements that would provide the city with natural gas and water – were already included in the first results.

South Tucson: Prop. 408 and Prop. 409

As of 3:12 a.m., Pima County results showed voters in the city of South Tucson appeared to approve the two measures. Prop. 408 establishes the city’s alternative spending limit and Prop. 409 allows the city to issue and sell general obligation bonds of up to $6 million to purchase vehicles and equipment for the fire department and to repair and renovate the fire station.
