BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Fire Department said they had sent resources to assist the Mountain Fire in Ventura County.

BFD said they deployed two fire trucks and seven firefighters Wednesday evening.

On November 6, 2024, the Mountain Fire started at 9:41 a.m. and as of Thursday morning is estimated at over 14,000 hectares with 0% containment.

The Kern County Fire Department also sent nearly 100 firefighters.
