President Joe Biden guarantees a ‘peaceful transfer of power’President Joe Biden delivered remarks to the nation in what was his first on-camera appearance in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s decisive victory over Kamala Harris.

With projections made in most states across the country, ABC News has predicted that former President Donald Trump will win the high-stakes presidential contest against Vice President Kamala Harris. Early Wednesday morning, Trump secured enough Electoral College votes to run for a second presidency, including by flipping the key swing states of Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

The PA foreign minister says there are at least 100,000 ballots outstanding

There are still “at least” 100,000 votes outstanding in Pennsylvania amid a tight Senate race between incumbent Sen. Bob Casey and his Republican challenger David McCormick, Secretary of State Al Schmidt said Thursday evening.

According to Schmidt, that count also includes “provisional, military, foreign and election day votes.”

“We urge patience as election workers continue to do this important work, especially in contests where the margins are very close,” he said.

Trump announces chief of staff

Donald Trump has announced that he has selected his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, as White House chief of staff, the president-elect said in a statement Thursday.

President-elect Trump has announced his chief of staff.

“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of my successful 2016 and 2020 campaigns,” Trump said.

President Joe Biden has no plans to pardon his son Hunter Biden, who was convicted on federal weapons charges, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated during a news conference Thursday.
