LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Many counties in our area are under a flood warning as rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day.

Light to moderate rain is expected during the morning, becoming heavier and more widespread in the afternoon and evening. Other than wind gusts and hail less than an inch, the only serious threat expected is flooding due to the excessive precipitation.

With this rain comes a front, with highs today dropping to the mid 40s to 60s, with Lubbock expecting around 55.

When the skies clear tomorrow, we’ll warm up and dry out just in time for the weekend; above 60 and below 70.
