Colorado Springs and southeastern Colorado remain under winter storm warnings Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Several highways, including US 24 and Interstate 25, in the region are closed due to snow and ice.

US 24 is closed in both directions from Colorado Springs to Limon.

Due to the weather conditions, Mountain Metropolitan Transit bus service will stop running buses at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from Mountain Metro. Several routes had to be closed on Thursday morning due to stuck buses. According to the press release, Metro Mobility ADA Paratransit service will continue to operate for essential trips only.
