Warriors of the Golden State star Stefan Curry and several other NBA stars have previously endorsed Kamala Harris for the US presidential election. Despite astonishing endorsements from celebrities in the film, music and sports industries, the Democratic Party candidate faced defeat. With Trump emerging victorious, Curry has acknowledged his victory in a new statement.

Stephen Curry praises Donald Trump’s victory after endorsing Kamala Harris

Stephen Curry, one of the highly recognized and best NBA stars, was one of the famous athletes who supported Kamala Harris, but Donald Trump emerged victorious in the 2024 presidential election. After the Golden State Warriors faced the Boston Celtics , Curry spoke about Trump’s astonishing victory.

He acknowledged that Trump had won and congratulated him on a hard-fought campaign. “It’s a situation where Trump won. Congratulate them on a hard-fought campaign,” Curry said (via Fox News). “The whole part of how this country should work is for everyone to support each other and come with the right intentions to lead the country in the right direction. That’s my hope. I don’t hold any grudges or ill will. This is what you want next .” Things will go well for everyone for another four years. We want to be accountable on that front as well,” he added.
Curry wishes the best for the citizens of America, hoping that Trump’s policies would have a positive impact on the people.
Curry’s head coach, Steve Kerr also supported Harris, but after her defeat he made a similar statement to Curry. “I believe in democracy. I think the American people spoke and voted for Trump. I want him to do well for the next four years. I want our country to do well,” Kerr said after Trump’s victory.
He added: “I will do everything I can to support my country and our government. I want nothing but the best for us. It’s a complex world. There are a lot of interesting things between wars abroad, the global economy, that have changed everything in terms of what it means for our citizens and their daily lives. I am acutely aware that I live in a bubble, and that I am one of the happiest people on the planet. So I want the best for us. I hope Trump can make that happen.”
Famed Los Angeles Lakers athlete LeBron James was also among the NBA stars supporting Harris.
