OpenAI responded to the outage: “We are currently investigating this issue.” According to the DownDetector, 79% of users said they had problems with ChatGPT in general. Meanwhile, 15% complained about the mobile application and 6% could not use the website.

Several users reported problems on social media. “Chat GPT is offline and I need help with the last question of my exam,” someone joked on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter.
