When is Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson? Date, time, undercard and how to watch fights on TV

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson meet in the boxing ring next week in one of the most controversial fights in recent history.

Tyson is considered one of the greatest heavyweight champions in the history of the sport, but the American is now 58 and hasn’t fought professionally in 19 years. And yes, his fight with YouTube star Paul shall be an officially sanctioned, pro-fight.

That means the records of both men will be counted on, with Tyson standing at 50-6 (44 knockouts), while Paul is 10-1 (7 KOs).

American Paul, 27, has defeated numerous ex-UFC fighters and lesser-known professional boxers, with his only loss coming last year to Tommy Fury – half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Now the divisive YouTuber will share a ring with Tyson, five months after the latter suffered a health scare during a flight – an incident that postponed the fight from July to November. Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the fight?

The fight will take place on Friday, November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The stadium, with a capacity of 80,000, is home to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

The event kicks off on Saturday, November 16 at 1am GMT (5pm PT, 7pm CT, 8pm ET Friday). No time has yet been announced for the ring walks between Paul and Tyson, but they are expected around 4am GMT on Saturday (8pm PT, 10pm CT, 11pm ET on Friday).

How can I view it?

The fight will be streamed live on Netflix in an unprecedented way.

What are the rules?

The fight lasts eight two-minute rounds and knockouts are allowed. Contrary to rumors, the boxers will not be wearing headguards, although their gloves will weigh 14oz – larger than the standard 10oz versions.

How much do the fighters earn?

Although the fight purses have not been officially announced, Paul claimed at a press conference in August: “I’m here to make $40 million and take out a legend.” $40 million equates to around £31.1 million, while Tyson will earn around $20 million (£15.4 million), according to friend and former UFC champion Henry Cejudo.
