North Texas Army Opportunities, Picks and Predictions

The Army Black Knights (8-0) is riding a 12-game winning streak into their showdown Saturday with the North Texas means green (5-3). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET (ESPN2). Let’s review BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Army vs. North Texas chancesand make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Army, which is number 18 in the American LBM Coach Pollhas not trailed during their undefeated run and boasts a top-five overall defense in college football’s top division.

However, quarterback Bryson daily (undisclosed injury/illness) was listed as questionable after missing the Knights’ 20-3 steamroll over Air Force last weekend. However, he returns on Saturday.

North Texas won’t tilt, however, and presents a tough hurdle for Conference USA before Army’s potential clash with Notre Dame. Quarterback Chandler Morris leads the FBS in passing yards per game (359.1) while ranking second with 29 passing touchdowns.

North Texas Army Picks and Predictions

Prediction

Army 36, North Texas 31

Moneyline

The Army’s ML has risen to -225 with the news that Daily will be in it. This makes their side on this song unplayable. We liked Army before the news of their quarterback’s return, but there’s way too much juice to take a position on.

PASSAGE.

Against the spread

The spread has fallen to 3, but has risen to 6 with Daily’s return.

Army has reached spreads of 6-1-1 this year. North Texas ends up at 4-4.

Unfortunately, the spread move negated any value that could be extracted from a close North Texas effort.

I would ignore the spread at 6 points in either direction. I might consider it if North Texas gets more than a touchdown.

PASSAGE.

Top/Bottom

The strongest bet of the main categories is the total.

North Texas’ offensive power ranks them second in the FCS with a 7-1-0 record in the Over/Under. Army remains no slouch at 5-3.

The triple option should carry the army on its own side regardless of who is under center. Go against the market trend and rely on the points with the better side of the O/U vig.

BET ABOVE 63.5 (-105).
