After the Georgia Bulldogs’ 28-10 loss to the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, head coach Kirby Smart is confident his team can bounce back from the loss.

“I think our kids will respond,” Smart said at a post-game conference. “We’re not on this roller coaster of emotions. … it’s a long journey.”

The third-ranked Bulldogs fell to 7-2 after the loss to the 8-4 Rebels.

Heading into Saturday’s game, Smart believed the No. 16-ranked Ole Miss team was one to watch.

“I told our team this week that they are the most talented team we have played,” Smart said. “They out-coached and out-coached us tonight.”

Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck completed 20 of 31 passes for 186 yards with no touchdowns. The senior struggled, throwing one interception and losing two fumbles.

“Welcome to the SEC, honey. On to the next one,” Smart said.

The Bulldogs will play No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers at home next Saturday.
