Meerschaert’s penchant for finishing has also led to five Performance of the Night awards bonuses, a list that “GM3” hopes to complete on Saturday by clinching the overwrought victory.

De Ridder, a former ONE Championship middleweight and light heavyweight champion, started his MMA career with 16 straight wins before falling to Anatoly Malykhin in 2022. A rematch 14 months later led to another defeat for the Knight, who then made a quick detour to the UAE. Warriors before signing with the UFC this year. De Ridder is making his promotional debut and wants to send a message to the rest of the middleweight division that he is a serious player in the title picture.
