LaGuardia passengers evacuated due to suspicious package

Travelers at LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B were briefly evacuated Saturday morning due to a suspicious package.

Security received reports of the unknown package in a non-public area of Terminal B around 6:29 a.m., Port Authority police told The Post.

Any potential travelers who had not been screened by security were evacuated and told to wait outside.

“I was very close to the front. I started seeing TSA agents telling everyone to stop screening. One officer spoke on the radio,” passenger Robert Baston told The Post.

“Then they told everyone to evacuate the terminal. “Everyone was outside at the passenger drop-off area… The TSA agents didn’t really tell us anything,” he shrugged.

Baston, 47, of Queens, had an 8:10 a.m. flight southwest to Denver.
