Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars: Third quarter recap and fourth quarter discussion

Get those four on, ladies and gentlemen, because we enter the final quarter of play in Duval County with your Minnesota Vikings still trailing the Jacksonville Jaguars 7-6.

Minnesota got the ball to start the second half and quickly penetrated Jacksonville territory on two touches for Jordan Addison (a 5-yard run and a 21-yard catch). The Vikings found themselves in the red zone again and. . .once more. . .Sam Darnold threw a pass to a member of the Jaguars, this time being picked off by Darnell Savage on a fumble for Justin Jefferson.

The Vikings defense then forced another punt in Jacksonville, got the ball back and penetrated Jacksonville territory again (after a penalty on the Jaguars negated a fourth-down interception for Sam Darnold). The Vikings appeared to have set up a goal-to-go situation, but it was negated by an illegal formation penalty, so the Vikings had to settle for another Parker Romo field goal attempt, this time a 33-yarder to bring the score back to 7-6 with about two minutes left in the quarter.

The Vikings forced another three-and-out from the Jaguars offense on the ensuing drive, thanks in large part to an Andrew Van Ginkel sack, and the Vikings will have a first-and-10 from their own 16-yard line when play resumes .

The Vikings are trailing the Jaguars 7-6 as we enter the fourth quarter of play. Can they take these out? Come with us and discover it!
