Texans set franchise record with five interceptions, but can’t keep it up after 26-23 loss to Lions

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans set a franchise record by intercepting Detroit’s Jared Goff a career-high five times. But they failed to capitalize on those mistakes time and again, becoming the first NFL team in nearly a dozen years to lose a game when they had five or more interceptions in Sunday night’s 26-23 loss. Coach DeMeco Ryans said his team didn’t make a play to win the game. He says to win games, guys have to step up and make plays. Texans quarterback CJ Stroud blamed himself for the loss and says he needs to be better.
