Georgia football player was caught on video jumping up and down in honor of Ole Miss fans after their loss on Saturday

To3 – A lot of emotions came to light in Oxford as Ole Miss defeated Georgia in Week 11, but a surprising moment was caught on camera with Bulldogs defenseman Jake Pope.

The safety was seemingly in a celebratory mood after the loss to Georgia, smiling and jumping up and down with what appears to be the family, or at least a group of supporters, of Rebels offensive lineman Reece McIntyre.

Pope and McIntyre come from the same hometown of Buford, Georgia, where they both played high school football for the Buford Wolves. It makes sense why Pope would be happy to see the McIntyre clan, but that doesn’t mean Bulldogs fans will be thrilled to see one of their defensemen so joyful after a demoralizing loss.

#22 Jake Pope is listed as a safety for the Georgia Bulldogs. Without looking up his stats, I’m going to go out on a limb and say he’s not getting much success in Georgia’s secondary. That’s not the hair of a guy who just played four quarters of SEC football. Not nearly sweaty enough. Far too linear. Lies too flat on his head.

When I actually looked the guy up, I found out that this is Jake Pope’s first year at Georgia. He moved there after spending two seasons on the bench at Alabama (although he apparently played a little on special teams). So he probably figured that if he couldn’t get the Crimson Tide to safety, Georgia’s defense could certainly use a 5’11 White. Or maybe he thought that without Nick Saban at the helm, the University of Alabama no longer met the standards of a school where Jake didn’t feel comfortable not playing.

Okay, sorry that was harsh. And unfair. According to 24/7 Sports, Jake Pope was actually a four-star recruit out of high school (though only a three-star transfer). Alabama’s Malachi Moore even said great things about him. He had a huge hit in Alabama’s spring game.

So maybe he has a future at an SEC school. I’m sure he’s just someone who thought he’d rather sit out three, four, or seven years on the bench (no matter how many chances they give kids these days), and maybe one day have a chance to play meaningful football for a national team. champion candidate. Instead of banging his head against the wall and putting his body through hell to lead UAB to a huge victory in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl his senior year. Worst case scenario, he’ll be benched for Georgia for the rest of his career, where he’ll land a smoking hot Alpha Phi girl who he’ll marry and have four beautiful pureblood children once they graduate.

But when you find yourself sitting on the bench enjoying all the perks that come with playing for a national championship contender like the Georgia Bulldogs, the one thing you can’t do is embarrass them. You can’t be caught celebrating with the other team. Driving 100 miles per hour in a school zone, getting arrested for speeding on the highway, multiple DUIs, assault and battery, domestic violence, hitting your children, that’s all fine in Georgia. Nobody cares about that. Everyone makes mistakes. But if you do something about it Real embarrass the team…like jumping up and down on the court with some old friends you haven’t seen in a long time after a tough loss to Ole Miss. That’s something the good Christian football fans of the Georgia Bulldogs simply won’t tolerate.

It’s gotta be better than that, Jake. I’m not sure Kirby Smart can let this one slide. I’m afraid he may have to make an example of you. Teach you a hard lesson. You’re forced to pack your bags and join yet another SEC team competing for the national championship. Probably Ole Miss. That will become clear to you.
