At 10:24 a.m. Saturday, a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service effective from 10 p.m. Sunday through 10 a.m. Monday for northern and eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County.

The weather service added: “Southwesterly winds of 20 to 30 km per hour with gusts up to 80 km per hour expected.”

“High winds will be blowing around unprotected properties. Tree branches may be blown down and some power outages may occur,” the weather service said. “These strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Please use extra caution.”
