Krispy Kreme is celebrating World Kindness Day by giving away a dozen glazed donuts to the first 500 customers at each participating location on Wednesday – in-store or drive-thru.

The only Krispy Kreme location in the Milwaukee area is in West Allis, at 2900 S. 108th St. It opens at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

World Kindness Day is celebrated every year on November 13. Launched in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, the day is about “celebrating good deeds in our communities, because kindness is what unites us all.”

“World Kindness Day reminds us that we can all have a positive impact on people’s lives, even through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer of Krispy Kreme, in a press release. “We hope that every dozen original glazed donuts we give away creates and inspires dozens of small acts of kindness.”
