As Steve Kerr said, one day there will be a statue of Klay Thompson outside the Chase Center – he’s a franchise icon.

Tonight he returns to the Bay Area for the first time in a Mavericks jersey and takes on the Warriors. Thompson will be showered with love by Warriors fans with a pregame video, and he’ll get a chance to speak to those fans.

Before it all started, the Warriors players and coaches put together this video as a reminder of how much they love and respect him as a person — and a reminder that they’ll do whatever it takes to beat him.

It’s going to be a really fun night at Chase Center – and it should be a very exciting match, pitting two of the top ten teams in terms of net ratings in the league against each other (and it’s also an NBA Cup game).
