It might not seem like a big deal that MarShawn Lloyd is back from injury after the third-rounder in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC played one game and had 15 total yards.

But it takes place in fantasy football, and I’ll explain why.

First off, the Green Bay Packers have one of the strongest schedules left for running backs in the NFL. And yes, while that means good things for Josh Jacobs, I wonder if the Packers will try to lighten the veteran’s load after the bye so he can be fresher for the playoffs. Emanuel Wilson has gotten some work behind Jacobs lately.

Jacobs has been full of praise for Lloyd lately, which should tell you something. And if Jacobs gets injured? Well, Lloyd could end up with a lot more workload than if Jacobs were on the field. It’s the time of year to hide guys like that.

There you go.
