INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’ll start off dry this morning, but rain will be in the picture later this afternoon. During the evening ride it can sometimes rain moderately to heavily.

TODAY: Cold this morning with temperatures in the low 30s and sunny skies. Clouds will increase throughout the day today ahead of our next storm system. We will see a lot of cloud around lunchtime and rain in the late afternoon. Rain may be moderate to possibly heavy at times across much of the state. Do not expect severe weather or thunderstorms. In southern Indiana, high temperatures will reach the mid and upper 50s and 60s.

TONIGHT: Rain will continue throughout the evening and may be heavy at times. Lows won’t drop until the upper 40s. Up to an inch of rain could fall in some places. Some areas south of Indianapolis could see 1 to 2 inches of rain.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy on Thursday. Some scattered morning showers are possible. There will be some drizzle and light rain during the first part of the day. High temperatures will climb into the mid-50s.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Partly cloudy skies on Friday with dry conditions. Temperatures will climb into the upper 50s. It looks like Friday night’s high school football games will remain dry. This coming weekend it looks like we will see dry conditions with some sunshine on both Saturday and Sunday. It will be a bit warmer, with highs in the mid 50s on Saturday and lower 60s on Sunday.

Rain chances return Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the low 50s.

There are some signs in next week’s extended weather forecasts that incredibly cold air may be on the way. So the cold temperatures could be here just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
