Taylor Swift Video Sparks Outrage During Chiefs Game

A video of Taylor Swift arriving at a Kansas City Chiefs game has sparked outrage after the pop superstar’s security asked photographers to stand up, with many thinking it was so they couldn’t take photos up her skirt.

Swift arrived at Sunday’s game to watch her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, play against the Denver Broncos. As is often the case when the singer attends a game, hordes of photographers awaited her arrival at Arrowhead Stadium — and took direct orders from her team.

It is typical for those standing in front of the press to crouch down so as not to block the view of reporters and photographers behind them, but this was not allowed on Sunday. In a video posted online – and which has since gone viral – her security can be seen walking in front of Swift and telling photographers to “stand up” as she walks past to enter the stadium’s VIP suite.

As Swift passed the photographers, someone knelt again, which led to one of Swift’s security guards immediately telling him to “get up” as Swift entered the building.

Newsweek emailed a Swift spokesperson for comment outside normal business hours on Monday.

A video of the moment was posted by user @wibwKatie to X (formerly Twitter), where it had 1.1 million views at the time of writing, and has since been reshared by several other accounts. While it has not yet been confirmed that one of the photographers was trying to take a photo of Swift’s skirt, speculation is rampant.

User @SavLovesSwift reposted the clip to the social media website with the caption: “Her security yelling at the photographers to get up so they can’t take pictures up her skirt 🙁 welcome to be a woman.” At the time of writing , the post had been viewed 12.8 million times.

X user @TayvisEra1989 also reshared the video, writing: “Queen Taylor is in the building! Kudos to Drew and the rest of Tay’s security team for telling those photographers to stand up so they can’t take pictures up her skirt. No, not on their guard.”

“Oh my god, what happened here??? The way they’re like STAND UP STAND UP against that guy and Taylor slows down super carefully? What’s the context?” @taylorisdownbad responded, to which @deedeedott replied: “She’s wearing a short skirt, he told the photographers to resist because they wouldn’t actually get any pictures up her skirt.”

User @wishescametrue added: “Taylor’s security said ‘get up’ to someone and Taylor then gingerly and noticeably slowed her walk to small steps…I’m assuming it’s because they were trying to take pictures up her skirt. Our sexually exploitative society is disgusting.”

Swift has attended all five of the Chiefs’ home games this season, and on Sunday she cheered for Kelce as he caught the football in the end zone, breaking an NFL record with his catch.

“There he is! The Chiefs’ all-time leading touchdown receiver! From (Patrick) Mahomes. That gives you something to sing about,” CBS announcer Kevin Harlan said.

For his part, Kelce has also been spotted among the crowd at several stops on Swift’s record-breaking one Eras tourwho took her around the world for more than 18 months and saw her wrap the American leg on November 3 in Indianapolis.

A video of the athlete leaving his girlfriend’s second show in Indianapolis while being followed by a camera crew recently went viral, reinforcing theories that the pop star is filming a documentary about her tour.

This isn’t the only clip of Kelce supporting his girlfriend that has gone viral. A video on TikTok showed the tight end smiling and dancing to “So High School” next to Swift’s mother.
