A PG&E outage is causing power outages in downtown Napa

Two power outages just over two hours apart knocked out a shopping and apartment center on Main Street in downtown Napa on Wednesday, according to Pacific Gas & Electric Co.’s online outage maps.

The outages affected an area covered by Napa’s Riverfront, a combination of shops, restaurants and upstairs apartments between Main Street and the Napa River boardwalk, the PG&E map indicated. One outage was reported at 9:55 a.m. at 25 customers on the north side of the building, followed by an outage at 54 customers on the south side at 12:07 p.m.

The outage on the north side of the riverfront was removed from the PG&E map shortly after 12:15 p.m. On the south side, the utility estimated electricity would be restored around 8:30 p.m.

The causes of the disruptions were not immediately known.
