Saquon Barkley leaves young Eagles fan in tears as he signs jersey for TNF vs. Commanders

NFL fans are excited for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime as the Eagles get ready to take on the Commanders. Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley has had a great year this year. And during warm-ups, Barkley decided to do a nice gesture for a young fan and sign their jersey.

After Barkley signed the jersey, the young fan immediately started crying, she was so happy.

For the season, he has amassed 171 carries for 991 rushing yards (second in the NFL) and six touchdowns. As a receiver, he has hauled in 26 catches for 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Simply put, his spectacular play helped keep the Eagles ahead for much of the season.

And he has done all that in just nine games. If he can keep it up, he will post some monster numbers for the 2024 season.

In the 2023 season, Barkley finished with 962 rushing yards and six touchdowns with the New York Giants.

In 2022, Barkley rushed for 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns on 295 carries. As a receiver, he also racked up 338 receiving yards on 57 catches, giving him a total of over 1,600 all-purpose yards.

Barkley tore his ACL in 2020, sidelining all but two games that season. In 2021, Barkley suffered an ankle injury that limited his productivity for much of that season. He had 162 carries for 593 rushing yards and two touchdowns, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. It should be noted that the 2021 injury was a left low ankle sprain.

His first season in the NFL, the first Penn State star exploded onto the scene, racking up 2,028 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns. After putting up those stellar numbers, he earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

While at Penn State, Barkley had a highly decorated career and left as one of the greatest running backs to ever suit up for the school. He finished his career there with 3,843 rushing yards, currently making him the school’s second all-time leading rusher. The first was born in Virginia Evan Roysterwho collected 3,932 career rushing yards with the Nittany Lions.
