    Jake Paul brings a 10-1 record into his fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson tonight on Netflix.

    In his short career that the content creator launched four years ago, Paul has dealt with a fellow YouTuber, a former NBA player/All-Star Slam Dunk champion in Nate Robinson and several mixed martial arts fighters who took to the boxing ring have gone.

    One of his opponents was even from Wisconsin.

    Paul fought in his third boxing match three years ago against Hartland native and former Olympic wrestler Ben Askren.

    Paul is 27 years old. He will face Tyson, who is 58, on Friday evening in a generational showdown from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

    Paul’s only loss was against Tommy Fury, a British professional boxer and reality TV personality on February 26, 2023. It was Paul’s seventh career match. Fury defeated him by split decision in the eighth round.

    Fury is the younger brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

    The fight took place at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

    Jake Paul’s fight against Ben Askren

    Paul has seven knockout victories in his career, including against Askren in their 2021 fight.

    The match between Paul and Askren didn’t last long. The referee ended the match with a technical knockout at just 1:59 after Paul hit Askren with a right hook.

    It was Askren’s first time in a boxing ring after a career in mixed martial arts. Before that, Askren made his mark as a wrestler, first as a two-time state champion at Arrowhead High School, then as a two-time national champion at Missouri and later on the 2008 U.S. Olympic team.

    Before the fight with Paul, Askren told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he was not a fan of his opponent.

    “I don’t really think he’s particularly talented, whether it’s funny or anything else,” Askren said. “It could be a generation gap, but I don’t really understand what people see in him or why they find him entertaining or fascinating or whatever people find in him that keeps them clicking. I don’t understand it at all.”

    Askren runs the Askren Wrestling Academy along with his brother Max and former Arrowhead coach John Mesenbrink. There are seven AWA locations across the state.

    Paul has a net worth of $80 million, according to the website Celebrity Networth. The site notes that Paul earned $45 million in 2021, mostly through his three professional boxing fights.

    Paul, who once acted in the Disney Channel series “Bizaardvark,” first built a name for himself on the former social media video platform Vine and now on YouTube.

    Paul has 20.8 million YouTube subscribers.
