Snoozer Jake Paul-Mike Tyson receives harsh criticism: ‘Not great for boxing’

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson went through all eight rounds on Friday evening during their boxing spectacle at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. But the result was a little different than expected.

Paul defeated Tyson via unanimous decision. “Iron Mike” came out of the gate swinging, looking like he could have mustered something from the prime of his career and stunned the world against the 27-year-old boxing phenom.

Instead, Tyson lost energy in round three. He seemed to be biding his time and waiting for the right moment to catch Paul in a slip. It never happened. Instead, Paul took Tyson a handful of times, and that was enough to get him through most of the fight.

Sports fans on X were less than pleased.

Fans at AT&T Stadium didn’t seem too happy either.

The Netflix broadcast, which had its own problems throughout the night, was met with distinct boos and fans headed for the exits before the winner was announced.

Paul was the decisive winner, much to the chagrin of the crowd who seemed to be very pro-Tyson all weekend and due to the punching incident at the Thursday night weigh-ins.

The YouTuber boxer went 11-1 in his young career. Paul has expressed an interest in winning a world championship and his pursuit can now begin.
