Watch Sabrina Carpenter bring out Christina Aguilera at the Los Angeles show

Singers perform “Ain’t No Other Man” and “What a Girl Wants” together at Crypto.com Arena show

In September, Christina Aguilera asked Sabrina Carpenter to perform “What a Girl Wants” together during a celebration of the 25th anniversary of her debut album. On Friday, Carpenter relived the moment on a bigger stage by bringing out Aguilera to perform the hit single, as well as “Ain’t No Other Man,” during her concert at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

As she played a round of Spin the Bottle with her backup dancers, Carpenter announced the winner as “a little Christina,” and Aguilera emerged from a platform below the stage. She then immediately launched into “Ain’t No Other Man,” accompanied by Carpenter and the dancers.

Afterwards, the two singers sat at the end of the runway and performed a scaled-back rendition of “What a Girl Wants,” which echoed the version the pair performed at Aguilera’s 25th celebration of her 1999 self-titled debut album, a performance that was filmed at Spotify Studios in Los Angeles.

“I’m going crazy,” Carpenter admitted at the time as she sat down on stage with Aguilera, where she shared memories of Aguilera’s music before their performance together. “I think the first time I heard your voice was (when) my mother played me a video of you singing at the age of eight, ‘A Sunday Kind of Love,’” Carpenter recalls. “That was the most inspiring thing I ever saw as a young girl who wanted to sing but thought I just couldn’t do it at that age.”

Also during the Los Angeles concert Friday, Carpenter “arrested” contestant and actress Rachel Sennott during the song “Juno,” similar to the stunt she pulled with Millie Bobby Brown during an Atlanta concert in October:
