Pair of defensive starters for LSU football to sit out the first quarter against Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – LSU football will be without a pair of starters on defense in the first quarter against Florida on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Senior safety Sage Ryan and senior defensive end Bradyn Swinson will not play in the opening period, according to the LSU radio pregame show. The reason for their sit-out has not been revealed, but it is expected that they will both play the rest of the match in The Swamp.

LSU (6-3, 3-2 SEC) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak at Florida (4-5, 2-4).
