GAINESVILLE, Fla. – LSU football will be without a pair of starters on defense in the first quarter against Florida on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Senior safety Sage Ryan and senior defensive end Bradyn Swinson will not play in the opening period, according to the LSU radio pregame show. The reason for their sit-out has not been revealed, but it is expected that they will both play the rest of the match in The Swamp.

Freshman Gabriel Reliford at defensive end will start in place of Swinson, while there will be some shuffling at linebacker and safety. Senior Major Burns will shift from the star position to free safety, while Dahvon Keys will get his first start of the season at outside linebacker.

LSU (6-3, 3-2 SEC) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak at Florida (4-5, 2-4).
