Nebraska Football’s pregame meeting was interrupted by USC players in a brief scuffle

LOS ANGELES – Nebraska football’s usual pregame tradition didn’t go according to plan Saturday morning in Los Angeles.

At road games, head coach Matt Rhule has a tradition of gathering the Nebraska football team at midfield for a pre-game prayer and team meeting. However, several USC players going through their pregame stretches were involved in the meeting, leading to staffers from both USC and Nebraska intervening.

Nebraska defensive line coach Terrance Knighton tried to take control of the situation on one side of the huddle while veteran leaders like Ben Scott and Isaac Gifford exchanged words with USC’s Elijah Hughes.

A USC staffer eventually removed Hughes from the huddle, with a limited amount of pushing and shoving as Nebraska left midfield.
