C. Jay Cox, known for his work on films such as “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Latter Days,” is involved in a sting operation that exposed his alleged inappropriate behavior toward a minor.

The operation was orchestrated by streamer Vitaly, who lured Cox to a house on the pretext of meeting a 15-year-old boy.

Unaware that he was being filmed, Cox was captured on video engaging in behavior that suggested an intent to act inappropriately with the minor. The footage shows him committed to the situation until Vitaly and his team revealed the operation, confronted Cox and recorded his reaction. Startled, Cox quickly dressed and left the scene when he realized he had been exposed.

The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Shadow of Ezra, sparked outrage online. The caption read: “Hollywood screenwriter C. Jay Cox… has been exposed by streamer Vitaly in a shocking sting operation.” Social media erupted with angry comments condemning the screenwriter’s alleged actions.

Born in Nevada in 1962, Cox rose to fame with “Sweet Home Alabama,” a box office hit in 2002. He also directed “Latter Days,” a critically acclaimed film that explores themes of love and faith. His career included titles such as ‘Kiss the Bride’ and ‘New in Town’.

The incident has cast a shadow on Cox’s career, raising concerns about accountability in the entertainment industry. Neither Cox nor his representatives have commented on the allegations.
