National Weather Service confirms EF-1 tornado in McCurtain County, Oklahoma

McCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KSLA) – The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that a tornado touched down in McCurtain County on Monday, November 4.

The EF-1 storm had peak winds of 90 miles per hour and occurred between Broken Bow and Idabel. Some wind damage was reported in Idabel, officials said.

According to the NWS, the tornado occurred around 5 p.m. and traveled a distance of just over three miles. At its widest it was 150 meters wide.

No injuries or deaths have been reported in connection with this tornado.
