Former “One Tree Hill” star Paul Teal has died at the age of 35, his representatives and fiancée, Emilia Torello, have announced.

“Paul, you were my soulmate, my husband-to-be, my rock and my future,” Torello wrote on Instagram on Monday. “You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail.

Teal died Friday after a battle with stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, Torello told TMZ. He had only been diagnosed seven months earlier.

“Even though a part of me died with you, I promise that I will fight to find joy in life just as hard as you fought to live every day,” she added.

Teal was best known for his role as actor Josh Avery in season 7 of the CW series ‘One Tree Hill’ in 2010.

“Sending love and prayers to @paulteal’s family and friends,” Jana Kramer, who played Paul’s on-screen girlfriend Alex, said on Instagram. “I had the absolute pleasure of working with him on Season 7 of ‘OTH.’ He was always so nice and it was so much fun working with him.”

“Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Paul Teal,” co-star Sophia Bush wrote in an Instagram Story. “We just started watching his ‘OTH’ episodes on @dramaqueensoth and he is such a talent.”

Teal’s acting credits also include ‘Deep Water’ with Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, plus ‘Fear Street: Part Two – 1978’ and appearances in TV shows such as ‘Dynasty’, ‘The Walking Dead: World Beyond’, ‘Outer Banks’ ,” “George & Tammy,” “Good Behavior,” and “The Stairs.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will next appear in ‘Lilly’ with Patricia Clarkson, and in Starz’s television series ‘The Hunting Wives’.

A public memorial is in the works, a representative said.
