Kacey Musgraves was in Nashville on Wednesday to check on the status of her three Country Music Award nominations. The singer walked the red carpet for the annual event in a statement dress by Georges Hobeika. The dress has a denim look with a lovely bodice. The dress has a midi silhouette and is decorated with beads. It also has statement sleeves, while the neckline is completely visible.

For a dress with so many details, Musgraves and stylist Erica Cloud opted for a nude shoe. In particular, she chose the Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Sling. The footwear features a slingback silhouette that is popular all year round. Louboutin’s Hot Chick Sling has a pointed toe. It also includes a wide, low-cut vamp that exposes the toe cleavage.

Being a slingback, the shoe also includes a strap that wraps around the back of the ankle. Because it is a Hot Chick variant, the strap has a scalloped decoration. All this sits on a heel of about four inches. The sole of the shoe is painted red. This has become a signature of Louboutin, who was inspired by the red nail polish of a secretary.

Slingback styles are one of this year’s leading trends. They were prominently featured at the Cannes International Film Festival in May, but have since been worn by celebrities on red carpets, at various performances and on catwalks.

That week, Greta Gerwig wore the Hot Chick Sling in black. Since then, Selena Gomez has worn the same version twice. She wore the shiny shoes for two different screenings of “Emilia Perez,” one in New York and one in Los Angeles. Gomez took it a step further in October, wearing a red version of the shoe to a screening of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”

The 2024 CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The evening, which celebrates the best, brightest and most talented in country music, is hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning and Lainey Wilson. The evening’s nominations are led by Morgan Wallen with seven CMA Award nominations. Presenters include Katharine McPhee, Simone Biles, Jeff Bridges and more.
