Kendrick Lamar Talks Lil Wayne Super Bowl Drama, Disappointment in Snoop Over ‘Wandered Murals’

Kendrick Lamar has chosen to share his reaction to recent headlines surrounding his name on a new album GNX. In the opening track “wacced out murals,” the Compton rapper addresses the lack of support he received after announcing he would be headlining the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, as well as his disappointment in a West Coast legend and appreciation for a vet from Queens who showed him nothing but love.

Thematically, the song is about Kendrick becoming accustomed to receiving hate and disrespect, with the title example being a mural in his hometown that was destroyed shortly after the filming of his “Not Like Us” video. In the second verse, the MC dives into a conversation about his upcoming Super Bowl performance, while New Orleans native Lil Wayne has expressed his disappointment at not being chosen to take the stage in his hometown. During his recent Lil Weezyana Festival, he even went so far as to say the performance was “ripped away” from him.

‘I bumped into it before The Carter3, I held my Rollie chain proudly. Irony, I guess my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” Lamar spat, referencing the classic J. Cole song “Let Nas Down.”

“Anyway, call me crazy, everyone doubtful, turned me into an eskimo, I drew the line and decimal,” he continues before calling out Snoop Dogg for sharing Drake’s diss “Taylor Made” on social media. The track featured AI verses from both Snoop and 2Pac.

“Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made’, I pray it was the edibles. I couldn’t believe it, it’s only right that I let it go.”

He continued, “I won the Super Bowl and Nas is the only one congratulating me, all these ni**as excited, I’m just happy they’re showing their faces.”
