Snow inches count in NJ for Bergen, Morris, Sussex, Passaic

Snowfall rates are increasing in part of North Jersey as the first winter weather of the season takes effect.

Snow inches count in NJ

Inch counts according to Bob Ziff of the North Jersey Weather Observers and the National Weather Service:

  • High point: 20 inches
  • Highland Lakes: 12 inches
  • Wantage: 3 inches
  • Mount Arlington: 2 inches
  • Sparta: 1.4 inches

Winter Weather Advisory in NJ

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties from 7 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Friday.

“Expect slippery roads,” the weather service warned in its snow warning. “The hazardous conditions will impact Friday morning commutes.”

Motorists across the region are advised to exercise caution as temperatures remain near freezing and roads may become slippery.
