McGregor was accused of “brutally raping and assaulting” Nikita Hand at the Beacon Hotel in the south Dublin but insisted that they had consensual sex.

YouTuber boxer Paul, who has been locked in a war of words with McGregor for almost four years, took to X to give his opinion in a now-deleted post.

He wrote: “Dana (White) beats his wife, Conor is convicted of rape but I’m the bad guy?”

And amazingly, just a few hours after hearing the jury’s verdict, McGregor responded, “No, you’re a little gay nerd.”

Paul’s inclusion of UFC supremo Dana White in his dig at McGregor referenced a video of the MMA mogul punching his wife Anne after a heated argument at a nightclub on New Year’s Eve in 2022.

White apologized profusely for his actions, saying, “You’re not coming back from this. You’ll never come back from this.

“For the rest of my life, like I said, however long that is, people are going to give me that label.”

McGregor, 36, has been ordered to pay £206,000 (€250,000) in damages to Ms Hand.

Does Conor McGregor have any chance of continuing his UFC career?

FORMER UFC champion Conor McGregor attacked a woman who accused him of raping her in a Dublin hotel, a civil court jury heard on Friday.

The 36-year-old was accused of “brutally raping and assaulting” Nikita Hand in December 2018.

He will now have to pay Ms Hand damages of 248,603.60 euros.

Despite losing his case, McGregor has vowed to appeal.

The Irishman’s future in MMA and UFC is now in doubt. He hasn’t been in the octagon since July 2021 when he broke his leg and was stopped against Dustin Poirier.

This is what Chisanga Malata, SunSport’s chief MMA reporter I had something to say about the situation…

“The ruling, which came in a civil court, not a criminal court, has created perhaps the biggest headache ever for the UFC in its 31-year history. MMA chiefs will now have to make a major decision about their poster boy.

Personally, I think he’s fighting again. There is a precedent for this. Just look at the man who fought Jake Paul last week.

“Of course I’m talking about former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who was sent to prison for rape in the 1990s. He came out and went on to have a successful career, earning millions and millions of pounds before quitting in 2005. retired.

“Unfortunately, there’s a precedent for it. But the UFC has a huge decision to make now. Like I said, I think he’ll fight again. I think they’ll stick to the plan that was announced after the fight last week at UFC 309 .press conference and they have him fight at the end of 2025.

“Maybe they said at the end of 2025 in anticipation that this ruling wouldn’t go McGregor’s way and that they would give some time for this to blow over – even though something of this magnitude can never, ever blow over.

“I believe McGregor will fight again barring a sensational decision by Dana White and all the investors and they take down their poster boy. But I just don’t see that happening and I see him returning to the Octagon late next year.

“Questions will have to be asked of the UFC and rightly so. But even more so to the man himself, Mr. McGregor.”

But the former two-division champion has vowed to appeal the verdict.

He wrote on X: “I am appealing today’s decision.

Connor McGregor was seen outside court after receiving a guilty verdict

“The judge’s instruction and the modest award awarded were for assault, not for serious or exemplary harm.

“I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all of the evidence that the DPP reviewed.

“I’m with my family now, focused on my life future.

“Thank you for all my support worldwide.”

His defiant statement came after he refused to speak to waiting media as he left the High Court with fiancee Dee Devlin, who was in tears.

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the UFC octagon since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier three years ago.
