The headliner pits former bantamweight champion Petr Yan (17-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) against former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo (24-3-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC). In the co-feature, recent women’s strawweight title challenger Yan Xiaonan (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) meets Tabatha Ricci (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC).

Xiaocan Feng vs. Ming Shi

To summarize: Ming Shi pulled off a major upset when she defeated 6-1 favorite Xiaocan Feng with a brutal head kick in 46 seconds in the third round. Shi squared her shin on Feng’s jaw and then struck. her with a few punches on the canvas before the referee jumped in. The win earned her the “Road to UFC” women’s strawweight tournament crown – and also sent Feng out of the arena on a stretcher and to the hospital after the finish as a precaution, leaving her unconscious and convulsing on the canvas.
