The holidays are just around the corner! Thanksgiving is just a few days away and then we count down the days to Christmas.

First, let’s talk about Thanksgiving, which will take place on Thursday, November 28.

Holiday markets in downtown Detroit

The Downtown Detroit Markets have returned to Cadillac Square for the 2024 season.

Visitors can purchase unique gifts from a variety of vendors and visit the Cadillac Lodge, a ski lodge-themed space with festive treats, drinks and more!

Christmas tree, ice skating rink on Campus Martius

The annual Christmas tree made its way to Campus Martius earlier this month and the tree lighting ceremony took place on Friday, November 22, kicking off the holiday season.

Visitors can visit Campus Martius to see the 20-meter-high Norway spruce glittering with thousands of multi-colored LED lights.

The ice rink on Campus Martius will open for the season on Saturday, November 23.

Wayne County Festival of Lights

The annual Wayne County Lightfest returns to Hines Park and includes nearly 50 animated holiday displays with more than 100,000 lights.

It is open Wednesday to Sunday from Thursday November 21, 2024 to December 24, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
