Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders escaped injury after landing awkwardly on a low hit in the first half of the Buffaloes’ game against Kansas.

Sanders was picked off at the knees by defensive back Dean Miller after he wandered around for a long time and fired an incomplete pass to Will Sheppard. Look at the goal, which was questionable at best and nasty at worst.

A flag was thrown on the play, but the officials quickly said Miller’s hit did not bother the passer and Colorado was instead flagged for having an offensive lineman across the field when Sanders threw the ball.

The QB went to the sideline after the hit, but immediately returned to the game and did not miss a single play. Colorado finally scored on the drive after two big catches by freshman wide receiver Drelon Miller. He had a fantastic falling grab on the sideline before capping the drive with a 19-yard touchdown that cut Kansas’ lead to 20-14.

The Jayhawks extended the lead before halftime, taking a 23-14 margin into the half. However, that nine-point lead came thanks to three short field goals after Kansas failed to convert three of four red zone trips into touchdowns.
